Nail Polish Storage

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been posting. :( I've been super busy with school, and all of that junk. I also had to trim my nails...It was completely heart breaking. I had to because it's the start of soccer season and I guess they view long nails as dangerous weapons.. I miss them so much.. :(

Anyways! I made a video of my nail polish storage. It's a little shaky in the beginning and I apologize for that. However, leave me some feedback in the comments below! :)

China Glaze ~ Smoke And Ashes

HAPPY HUNGER GAMES.

I thought for the release of the movie I would post up another swatch of the CG HG collection! :)

Here is Smoke And Ashes.

I have very mixed feelings about this color. In the bottle it looks like a beautiful black with a hint of green shimmer. Yet on the nail It just looks well...black. I have actually heard people say it's more of a navy blue? I'm just going to stick with the fact I just think it's black. Cause you know...when I look at my nails right now..all I see is blackness.

Anyways guys! If you saw the movie tell me how it was in the comments below! I would love to hear from you guys. I have to wait until Tuesday to see the movie with my boyfriend. We both don't agree with having to pay almost $11.00 per ticket to see a movie. Ridiculous if you ask me! Over in my area we have prices that are reduced on Tuesdays. It used to be $5 Tuesday but now it's 7...yay inflation?

I would also like to know your view on the polish. Do you see more of a black? What do you think of it? Stuff like that.

I hope you guys have a great weekend. And a great evening of course. :)

I love you all.

Sally Hansen ~ Mint Sorbet

Hello guys! It's the first day of spring so I thought I'd wear a springy type color. I doesn't feel like spring at all where I live. It feels like summer. It's been in the high 70s and into the 80s all week. I hear it's supposed to get close to 90 tomorrow. Yikes, I'm more of a 50s person. Anyways I love this color and it definitely stands out when you're wearing it on your nails!

Thanks for looking!

Also, how's the weather for you guys? I haven't really checked around to see. I live in the states. And I'm wondering if it's hot everywhere or is it just where I am on the east coast! :)

Have a great day everyone.
Adios Winter! :)

Spoiled ~ Show Me The Money

Wow, two posts in a row? (; I figured I might as well. I wanted to show you these two polishes separately!

For my St. Patricks day nails I decided to use CG ~ Agro with Spoiled ~ Show Me The Money over it! :)

                                                                                                         Flash

                                             No Flash

These are how both colors look on my nail wheel completely alone.
1. Show Me The Money
2. Agro

I hope you enjoyed these posts like I have :)

Have a great night guys, and don't party too hard.

China Glaze ~ Agro

SO. I LOVE greens and today is St. Patricks day! So, here's a swatch of Agro by CG. I Absolutely loved the formula on this polish. It went on so nice and smooth. Just ugh, it's beautiful..

                                                              Flash

                                             No Flash

Thank you for checking this out! :)

I was also just wondering, what do you guys think about the flash and no flash pictures? Like, do you think it's better to have both photos, or is one more than enough? I personally like to see them both but I'm not sure.

Anyways,

Adios! :) <3

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms ~ Emerald Amethyst

I was cleaning my room today and I found this little guy hiding in the corner of my bedroom. I saw it and thought I have to put this on my nails tonight. It's such a beautiful color, and I love my greens and purples. :)

Here is a video I posted of the purpley goodness. I am god awful at videos! This is why I never went on youtube...

I hope you guys like it. Sorry for the really crappy videos and such. I tried! haha :)

Sephora by OPI ~ Mermaid to Order

Taking a little break from the China Glaze postings. :) I decided out of the blue today to pain my nails a color I bought not too long ago that I really loved and actually bought on accident. What happened was I was checking out at sephora and I they had a clearance bin in front of the cash register there was this one color in it I loved. The problem was there was only a tester, I asked if they still had any regular bottles anywhere. The lady said she'd check and when she came back she came back with Mermaid to Order. She said they still had some and rang it in. Needless to say I trusted her too much and ended up getting the wrong polish. I never looked at the name of the polish I originally wanted. So I guess I won't know what it was until we come face to face again. I know that was a pretty dumb thing of me to do. However, at least the polish I managed to pick up was still a beautiful color! :)

                                                                        With Flash
Without Flash

Gosh I just can't get over how great of a color this is. It looks 100x better in person. Go out to your local sephora and buy it. I demand it. :)

Here's a pretty picture of a mermaid to end this post with :)

Nail Wheels

Okay! So. Like I said I bought some Nail Wheels at Sallys Beauty Supply the other day. I just finished going through all my polishes and putting them on the wheels. A pack of 10 costs around $5.00 or so. Each wheel can hold 18 polishes, so each pack of 10 can hold 180 polishes. I organized mine by colors.

                                                                      Neutrals & Golds
Greens (one is missing because I accidentally
sealed the bottle shut and now I can't open it..)
Pinks & Reds
Purples
Yellows & Oranges
Blues & a few teals
Black & Silver & White
Various nail colors, most of them being what I would use to put over some of my polishes..glitters & etc.

So, this is how I organized mine, keep in mind I am horrible with colors! :) So..that's why I might have some like pinks with the purples and etc...just really bad at judging what color goes where...

Anways guys, if you don't own these, I suggest you get them, they're so easy to use when you want to see what nail polishes you own!

China Glaze ~ Stone Cold

I'm back to posting! Yay! :) I'm currently working on organizing all of my nail polish collection and such which is why I haven't been posting as much. Anyways, time for some swatchinn'.

Today I'm wearing Stone Cold. It's a beautiful matte color, and let's just say, I'm a big matte fan. :)

(I'm very curious about that chip in my pointer finger nail, you can't actually see it while looking at the nail yet it shows up in pictures...odd)

This color reminds me of well....stone....It's a beautiful dark gray with hints of silver in it. It also reminds me of the wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin....since you know...the name....he however looks nothing like the polish haha.

Sallys and Life

Hey guys! I've been somewhat busy lately sorry for the lack of posts. :( Basically, I went to Sallys on Friday I believe and bought some stuffz. :D

The most important thing being.... NAIL WHEELS. :D I've literally spent a pretty decent amount of time working on them....  I'm not really great at them though, I'm sort of really bad with colors... I also bought a Manicure Saver, (i believe thats what its called). I have very mixed feelings about it. I'll have to do a review post soon for you all. I also bought some hair stuff, I haven't gotten the chance to use it though.

Anyways, another lovely thing happened to me today. I got home from a friends house to find my nail polish knocked down. (I blame the cats) Needless to say I picked them up thought nothing of it and then felt sticky liquid like substance on my fingers. I looked down and they were pink. Panicing I searched for the polishes that were "leaking". Needless to say I bought them, shattered. It was heart breaking. I had to clean all my polishes (my nail polishes were being separated in containers so that I could keep color groups together while doing my nail wheels) and the bins. I lost two pinks today, I morn my loss. :( To make matters worse It completely destroyed the nails I was going to take a picture of once I got home to upload. I'll have to redo them. :( Anyways! I'll do my best to post tomorrow or so.

I love you guys.
Talk to you later!

To My Followers :)

Hello guys,
I know I don't have a lot of followers as of the time I am writing this. Or well...typing. However I'd like to say I appreciate every single one. :) I wanted to tell you guys that when I hit 50 followers I'm going to do a small giveaway! :D Exciting right? Yes, I thought so. :) I just thought I'd let you guys know!

On another note, I have a question for you guys. I see there has somewhat become a craze about these Magnetic Nail Polishes. I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried them? And if so, what did you think about them.

Until next time! :)

China Glaze ~ Riveting & Luxe and Lush

China Glaze. China Glaze. China Glaze. They have to be my most favorite nail polish brand yet. Today I am rocking out Riveting & Luxe and Lush. I really love the two colors together. I feel like they definitely give a fire effect. Which definitely goes with the Hunger Games. Since you know...Katniss IS the Girl on Fire. They went on great, and look great. The only thing I have to say is that even before I ordered Riveting, and saw it in person, it reminded me of Cherry Bomb by Orly (a lighter and more orange version). Maybe it's just me, but I see some similarities. I'm going to have to swatch that and compare it sometime.

                                                        Riveting (Alone with Top Coat)

Riveting (Up close so you can see the gold shimmer)

Riveting & Luxe and Lush

Riveting & Luxe and Lush (again I took a few pictures so you could see it at different angles)

Lots of photos in this one! :) I really tried to get a good picture of Luxe and Lush on top of Riveting. However it seems my camera just won't pick up on its beauty. It really is beautiful though! :)

Zoya ~ Laurie

I got this nail polish back when Zoya was having their get 2 nail polishes for free and all you have to do is pay shipping and handling. They actually accidentally messed up my order so I ended up getting 4 nail polishes for free. I can honestly say I am not a huge Zoya fan. For some odd reason I just don't like their formulas. Anyways, their polish, Laurie, I could not get to look right on my nails.

I've never really been a pink nail polish fan. So maybe thats why it's not my favorite. I'm not going to complain though. They were more or less free so...I'll give this another try eventually. Maybe my nails just didn't want to cooperate with me that day...

My nails of the day :)

Okay so!

1. Start off by painting your nails a brown color. I used the Mahogany Magic by China Glaze.

2. Once it completely dries you can either free hand, or use tape, and apply Atlantis by China Glaze to the top corners at an angle.
3. Once that is done, trace the bottom of Atlantis with a black nail art polish, I used Black by Art Deco.

4. Then apply a top coat, and you are finished!!! :)

Hope you guys liked this! :) It looks absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. I just absolutely love it!. I hope to see other trying it as well :)

China Glaze ~ Mahogany Magic

I'd liked to first start off with the fact I love this color. For some reason I absolutely love brown polishes. The polish went on my nails with no problem what so ever. I only needed one coat for them to turn out great. :)

I bought this for $2.75 @ http://victoriasnailsupply.com/hungergames.html :)

Check it out!

New polishes (:

Finally! My Hunger Games CG nail polishes arrived in the mail yesterday. I was quite happy to come home from my boyfriends house and find them at my house. I also bought two other nail polishes by CG when I ordered the nail polishes.

The other two nail polishes by CG that I bought were Preppy Pink and Atlantis.

Lastly, today I went to the mall and ran into CVS. I saw that Spoiled by Wet n Wild were on sale for 2 polishes for only $3.00. Needless to say I picked up 4. The four I picked up were, 2 Weeks Sober, Paying With Platinum, The Parking Meteor Expired, and Show Me The Money.

I hope to have swatches of these up within the week. :) So stay tuned!

Jordana ~ Mellow Yellow

Okay, well I bought this a while back and never tried it. While cleaning out my nail polishes I found and decided to try it. Regardless I took it right off after I applied it. I was not a fan at all. Without light touching it, It's a dark yellow. It was a very ugly looking color to me anyways. However, if you're going to be out in the sun, and you don't mind applying 4+ coats then try it out. Otherwise I mean...I wasn't a huge fan.

This was taken with flash on, so It got the appearance that it was in the light. I couldnt get a good photo of it naturally at all. :(

And on another note, my nail polishes that I ordered that were supposed to arrive today were postponed due to the snow storm up North where I live. :( Guess the odds weren't in my favor today. Well, at least I'll have something to look forward to tomorrow. :)

Organizing

So, I spent all of my day so far today organizing my nail polish collection. I figured it would be the best thing to do since I needed something to do to stop me from stalking outside my window waiting for UPS to deliver my China Glaze Hunger Games nail polishes.. I'm still waiting. However it's been snowing a lot where I live so who knows when it will get here.

Anywho, my nail polish collection is at 115 or so right now. Not a lot compared to most. However, I stopped buying them because I figured over 60 or so was more than enough..but I changed my mind. I should have almost 130 by the end of the night. :) Woooo. I'm going to need to find a new place to store them however. My current stash is over flowing. Hm anyways.

This is just about all of the nail polishes after I took them out of where they were being stored. I was pretty satisfied with my collection so far. :) I intend on uploading the individual brands that I own. However, as of right now, I don't own many of each brand. I'm still really looking for a favorite brand. I'd love to hear some suggestions if anyone has a favorite. :)

I'm out for now, I'm going to keep myself entertained by painting my nails while I wait for the UPS man. :)
